Plants, Bulbs and Poppies

The last lot of bulbs has sold out, but the new season bulbs will arrive soon.  

 

We’ll have several hundred plants to distribute as soon as the spring really has sprung, and just like the salt they will be free for villagers if planted in front gardens where others can see them, but incredibly cheap if not.  

 

2014 will mark the centenary of the beginning of the First World War, and the Royal British Legion asks that gardens generally be poppy red, and that as many poppies as possible be grown.  The Legion has sent us the seeds and planting instructions – time for sowing will be spring 2014.  Again, free for villagers.
